Also I like to draw abstract art, it'll look odd but i tend to take the exactness of the Renaissance art and make it more about the lines and curves than about the people or sfumato. But all my pieces of art have their own deeper meaning to them, what the meaning is; is up to interpretation so don't limit your guesses as to what it means even if someone else says otherwise.
I'm also an art critic, I like to think that I'm fairly well versed in the world of art (all be it through a college art history class), and I have a bit of a bias when it comes to drawings due to features in Renaissance art that I very much enjoy. However I also do my best to point out the good in a drawing/painting/piece, and where I'm biased towards Renaissance art that does not hinder my ability to appreciate a drawing.

After a few days i'd just been lounging around not really focusing on trying to draw. Most likely because when looking at a tutorial for how to draw squares, cylinders, spheres yeah it makes sense. Then the next video on learning to draw is to draw a human skull in sophisticated detail. Which honestly felt like just an insurmountable task to just jump from spheres to okay now draw a human skull. Lately though i've been looking at the newest deviations and honestly i've felt reinvigorated to draw...so yeah.

Looking into Shading

Trying to look into shading, because when looking at tutorials they tend to just presume you know how to shade. Unfortunately I don't really understand how tonal value works or which parts should be darker and then get lighter when shading...some of these feel kinda obvious but as for others it's just been an utter mystery to me. So gonna look into shading rather than posting a drawing today. If anyone has advice on shading feel free to put it in the comments.
